Gas Purging dams isolate weld zones quickly, cutting argon usage by up to 80 % compared with full-volume flooding. Inflatable welding purging systems use dual inflatable bladders linked by flexible tube; once positioned, a short burst inflates both dams and initiates low-flow argon bleeding through diffusers, driving oxygen out via centre vent ports.  


Advanced gas purging sets feature integral heat-resistant covers rated to 350 °C for high-alloy P91 root passes, preventing dam failure during multiple hot-wire runs. Single-use purge discs crafted from fire-retardant cellulose pulp burn away harmlessly during first arc strike, eliminating extract complications in small-diameter spools.  


Optional welding purging accessories include quick-release gas feed manifolds, back-pressure valves preventing dam collapse when gas stops and digital oxygen meters that alarm above preset thresholds.
